Scripps Forum Wedding

While stuck in bumper to bumper traffic along the 101, on his way home from work, Dan happened to glance over and spy a gorgeous girl (Aimee!) stuck in traffic right next to him.  His heart leapt and he began trying to catch her eye.  She smiled back, and in that instant Dan knew he had to somehow get her to go out with him.  Totally improbable since they were in separate cars on a highway, but, hey, he was thunderstruck!  After a lot of flirting, she pulled over near Torrey Pines State Beach and gave him her number, wondering if she was totally crazy!  A single romantic date later, and the two were inseparable, soon after, they were engaged!  What a testament to listening to your heart and taking a risk!

They decided to have a Scripps Forum Wedding, because it was just a few miles from that gorgeous stretch of ocean where they first serendipitously met and because the modern architecture set against a breathtaking backdrop perfectly embodied the style they envisioned for their wedding day.  These two were the epitome of casual elegance.  We loved how they added whimsical touches like Dan’s purple bow tie and the ring bearer’s converse sneakers.  Flawless coordination by First Comes Love, yummy eats by Festivities Catering, and music to party the night away by Greg Shibley

“Jen and Shane are amazing to work with! We booked Jen and Shane for our engagement shoot last summer. We felt SO comfortable just from talking to them from the very first meeting. I think it helps a lot that they are a couple themselves, they were able to SHOW us how to stand, etc. We had 2 locations, one at the Del Mar race track and then Torrey Pines beach. Del mar was one of our dream locations (since the races mean a lot to us as a couple) and they don’t normally allow people to shoot there when the park is closed, but they were able to get us in!

We are also extremely happy with all our wedding photos! They did such a great job capturing all the special intimate moments. I especially love all the photos taken under the Scripps Pier, I have gotten so many compliments of how romantic and beautiful they look.

They were both really fun to be with, and it also felt really natural to us. The best part is that we have so many beautiful photos from our engagement and wedding! We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for natural but artistic pictures. ”
